God granted that a body of believers, corpus christi, remnant, should appear in history as the historic Anabaptist churches. In witness to Jesus and consequent martyrdom, the climate was created for FREEDOM OF CHOICE in religion. Through divine providence, this later development came to fruition and life in the First Amendment, "Congress shall make no laws touching the establishment of religion, nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
